Since God is intimately involved in every area of our lives, He is also involved in sports. For example, after putting John 3:16 on his "eye-blacks," Tim Tebow played for the NCAA national title, and 94 million people Google'd "John 3:16." Then, exactly 3 years later, Tim led the Denver Broncos over the Pittsburg Steelers in the NFL playoffs. During the game, Tim threw for 316 yards; he had 31.6 yards per completion; he had 3.16 yards per run; his time of possession was 31:06; the TV rating for the game was 31.6; and another 90 million people Google's "John 3:16." As Tim said after the game, it was so much more than just about a game. It was a platform for God to show His love for people, and let them know that He cares about them. The platform for the open witness by so many of the Eagles players, giving Jesus the glory, was provided by the Super Bowl win. I believe God cares, and will show Himself strong through us, if we will yield to Him, and let Him shine!
