Add Utah to the polygamy parade again from what I have read, unfortunately. The fact that approximately equal numbers of males and females are naturally born goes along with God's original design, as shown by Adam and Eve's apparently monogamous relationship. However, as stated in the Bible, not many generations after the first humans disobeyed God and came under Satan's control, polygamy was born, in addition to other evil doings. What happens when there is polygamy is the rich and powerful begin to indulge their fallen natures and take on multiple wives, which they have the resources and power to do. That leaves an unbalance of males and females for the rest, which no doubt encouraged the development of homosexuality for the rest. God's ways, as given in the Bible, are better for all concerned. At the very least, his ways help prevent abuse of power among Christian people. The Bible documents what all can go wrong with the fallen human nature in the absence of the salvation of God through his son Jesus.

I doubt Dr. Brown would deny that polyamory or polygamy has continued to exist over a great deal of human history. When governments promote male/female marriage with a lifetime commitment, women and children benefit greatly (given no perversions). Thus human flourishing has been enhanced in countries that have embraced this biblical model and exclusively endorsed and promoted male/female marriage. Dr. Brown has predicted the trend in U.S. governments to endorse much less beneficial arrangements as our society moves further away from biblical values.

How do you claim to “predict” something that has existed for thousands of years? Polygamy, polyamory, and other such variations on the theme of marriage are scattered through Scripture, span various religions and cultures, and can even be found in non-human mammals. But, Dr. Brown wants us all to believe that he somehow predicted this “phenomenon”?
