It's rare to find a celebrity with any real discernment. For instance, I was reading some stuff recently about Dawn Wells, who played Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island. She has always come across as nice and wholesome—at least on TV. But then I found some remarks that she made about the 2016 election. Here's what she said: "I think [Hillary]'s dependable, and I think she's pretty rational and I think she's probably gone through a lot in her life and survived it. I think Donald Trump is just ego at the moment." Well, anyone who thinks Hillary is "dependable" and "pretty rational" is about as naive as it comes. True, Trump has a big ego (what big politician doesn't?), but I think Hillary's is much worse. And at least Trump doesn't hide behind a facade of "niceness." Anyway, my guess would be that at least 98% of celebrities are liberal. In general, celebrities are NOT people who we should be looking up to. Instead, we should look up to everyday people who display a lot of *character* and the fruit of the Spirit.

I have little regard for Hollywood celebrities and am so glad I stopped going to movies many years ago, except for inspirational and Christian movies. These hypocrites get none of my money, and I like it that way. If Phonenix actually knew anything about cows, he would know that many of those cows are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. They are treated with kindness and extreme care, not mistreated. He's clueless and should not speak on that which he has no knowledge. As for self-absorbed Hollywood-Matthew 2:24 New International Version "You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel." They bow at the pagan altar of Baal and worship the evil rite of abortion because unfettered abortion means unfettered sex, and that is what it is all about. Their consciences are seared and their foolish hearts are darkened.1 Timothy 4:2; Romans 1:21
