I find it interesting that some get so hung up on the imperfections of the Jewish people that they totally overlook the faithfulness of Yahweh. In my opinion the Tanach was not written so that people can point to everything that the Jewish people did wrong. The Tanach was written so that people could see Yahweh’s faithfulness to the Jewish people. When they were wrong Yahweh punished them, and then brought them back to himself. And that is why their God is the God that I want to serve. I am grateful to Yeshua for his sacrifice that allows me, a Gentile, to become a part of the commonwealth of Israel, and for the opportunity to serve the same God that Yeshua served. I know that even when I miss the mark that Yahweh will take the time to correct me and bring me back to him. We really do serve a God who is faithful, and who will keep all of his promises to us, whether Jew or Gentile.
