How sure can we be that the New Testament is reliable textually and historically?

I was a devout believer and teacher of the bible, no more. First, about texts, the oldest ones on record are thought be from the end of the second century or so, could it be the romans who wrote it? And think on circular reasoning. I say Harry is God. I wrote the book that says Harry, who is God, told me to. The book I wrote declares it is never wrong, and that Harry is never wrong> Harry is the perfect God, and my book proves it. Gullible people worship Harry. Harry tells them (in my book) to give me 10% of their money and to obey me. My book says so. Next, Roman and Greek gods also had human attributes, like jealousy, lust, etc. were never seen as being perfect, nor were their people, who had some honesty to them, and did not say anyone, including gods, were perfect. So dont go around saying the bible is true because of statements showing imperfections of apostles, who we all know as human beings, were not perfect. Just a little truth to make the whopping lies more believable for gullible idiots. Contradictions= how about the doctrine of grace, and Jesus' teachings that we must follow the law, or eternal security as in nothing can take us out of god's hand, and the parable of sower of seeds, and of Rev_3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. I have much more, but for now, that will do.
