This article contains some truly idiotic references to "thumbs up and down" numbers on Youtube. Really? You actually find these numbers to be of use in your "intelligent" discourse? Come on now, you're an educated man. You should be trying to enlighten your readers not bamboozle them with meaningless stats. Plus you claim that 99% of the Christians you have met are against homosexuality. Did you ask each one this question and record the answer and then compute this? You seem as phony as a 3 dollar bill to me, but you have a rapt audience that you sell your wares to.

I know that many Christians are frustrated and anxious, to say the least, at the level of hostility being pointed at them by many, perhaps even most, LGBT activists and their allies. To point out, no matter how lovingly and regardless of our understanding that we too have grievous sins to repent for, is to unleash on ourselves often vile accusations, name-calling, threat to employment and even against ourselves and our family. Not to mention the increased assaults on our "free exercise" rights. So, "I get that." But there is never any excuse to spew out venom and hatred against the LGBT community, even those who treat us badly (and let's remember, many do respect us and our position). And to rejoice in murder? God forbid. We cannot tolerate such things for one second. So I appreciate very much Dr. Brown taking this on in his usual clear, courageous manner. I have tackled this issue on my own website/blog as well: https://davidjayers.org/musings I would hope that many other readers of Dr. Brown take the opportunity to support him in this and echo his denunciation of Steven Anderson's hateful words. And pray for Pastor Anderson and his church as well.

The problem with all of humanity is the old Adamic nature. Unless we put daily crucify the flesh (old man), hatred, lovelessness, and a lack of insight and mercy will always prevail. If I caved into what my flesh demanded of me I'd be the worst of violators. You name it: racism, pornography, homophobia, hatred, unforgiveness...etc. The people who are attacking your word on "Christan hatred" are simply acting in accordance to their flesh. The cross has to do the work in all of us. If we walk according to the Spirit, we will live. If we put to death the misdeed of the flesh we will live. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace...etc. It may be that we need the cross preached once again like the old time preachers....where the old man is slain and it's only Christ in us! Christians, let's press into the cross and the fullness of the Holy Spirit!
