Hmm Swkh310. I guess I must be deceived then. I've never even come close to a crisis of faith. It's always seemed so obvious to me that God exists and that He is the God of the Bible. Over the last number of years, it has become so real to me that I can't think of anything else that is more definite. The evidence for God having made the entire universe just for us on this planet is stunning. And the evidence that the One who did this was also behind the Bible is without question. I'm just surprised how few Christians are aware of the overwhelming evidence. For me, one doesn't have to depend on an experience (or an encounter as Dr. Brown mentioned). At least not today -- because now we know enough about the universe to directly figure out what is going on. Seriously.

Can you define “CCM,” zsar? The Pietist crowd hated JS Bach’s music because they thought it was too ornate; Handel caught hell from the Church of England because they thought “Messiah” was too operatic. So, please enlighten us on the evils of CCM.

CCM claims another one. When will we learn and DUMP all "Christian" versions of worldly music once and for all?!?!?!?!

EVERYONE has a crisis of faith at some point in their spiritual journey. Jesus certainly did ("My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" "“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me."), and, more recently, Mother Teresa did (beautifully documented in her own words in "Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light"). I believe anyone who claims they have never experienced a crisis of faith is lying -- maybe not to listener/reader/follower per se, but certainly deceiving themself. Why should Mr. Goodwin be any different from the rest of us? Does he not also have feet of clay? And, why should any of us claim moral superiority to our Brothers and Sisters who have the honesty and courage to state such doubts publically? Our job is to love, support, and encourage him. NOT to dismiss him. Godspeed, Mr. Goodwin. God understands your confusion and disillusionment.

Such an excellent article Michael, so well written and addressing the central issue Brady's tragic loss of faith. I have been reading your daily commentaries now for several years since discovering you via the Christian Post website. God bless you. Keep up your excellent work.
