In response to my recent article “5 Reasons to Bless Those Who Curse You,” one reader explained that he was too weak to do this and, rather than be seen by his enemies as being weak, he will be a terror to them (calling them “creeplings” and “filth”).

This is what he wrote, using the name “Faith Defender.”

"Fine words to live by, really, and I do want to, but can not. God forgive me. I try to walk in the footseps of Jesus, but I am not Jesus, I am a man. I am a man, and I will not be trodden under foot, and I will not succor those who would oppress me, for such creeplings always mistake kindess for weakness, this before they strike. No, I am a terror to my enemies, and will stand against them, for there is no honor in dying at the hands of filth. I have to go polish my sword now. May God be with you."

I certainly appreciate his honesty, but can his attitude be justified? How would you respond to him?
