May God bring us to repentance! I would not describe myself as "religious," but if feeling nauseated and outraged by this lack of holiness brands me so, we'll then, so be it. The extent that ministries often go to with the intention bring people to the Lord by being "user friendly," has far exceeded my personal toleration. The God of Heaven and Earth died so we could know Him! We need to live up to the standard He has shown and "be holy as He is holy."

Seeing as how Joseph Prince was a speaker at the Hillsong 2015 Conference, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the Naked Cowboy and the New York Hillsong church were both into the hyper-grace doctrine.

Dr. Brown, I have great respect for your ministry and thanks for your response to this outrage, but you should have come down on both parties like a ton of bricks rather than ending this writing with a whimper. Certainly repentance needs to begin with us in the Body, but here we have Hillsong--clearly a valid Christian ministry that is now apparently under the spell of sleazy entertainment, and the Naked Cowboy--an apostate who claims to be a minister of Christ! Both need to be denounced in the same way that the Apostle Paul would have done, or even Elijah the Prophet. In this sick western society the people often need to be shocked back into reality to understand the difference between right and wrong.

Holiness. It isn't even being pursued by the non-freaks in the churches. People proclaiming that they are "blessed" (because, they claim, they are so loved by God because they are "good" Christians; when Jesus said, "No one is good, but the Father".), when the reason they feel so "blessed" has less to do with their being so good and more to do with "the rain falls on the just and the unjust"; and their "goodness", their "righteousness is as filthy rags". Don't expect the freaks like "The Naked Cowboy" to take the lead in demonstrating holiness; it had better start with those who claim to be so loved and blessed by God.

You're so right Dr. Brown...may Abba have mercy on us all....o that this would pain us to weep over our own barrenness and the places we stoop to for fleshly gratification.
