"Our third composite Christian, “Progressive and Woke,” would not be recognized as a Christian by “Orthodox and Angry,” while even “Famous, Nice, and Toothless” would question some of his beliefs. Yet he is passionate about his faith, he is constantly quoting Jesus and the prophets, and he seems to care genuinely about people who are hurting and downtrodden. He brings a strong challenge to the status quo." Sounds a lot like Jesus. Which is probably one reason why he got crucified.

It is far more simple. There are TWO types of Christian. Those who view "Christian" as a noun ("I say I am a Christian; I say I am Born Again; I say you are not a real Christian," etc.), and those who see "Christian" as a verb ("What can I do to help?; Are you looking for volunteers?; I can work the line at the soup kitchen," etc.).

A fourth exist "Orthodox, famous and nice" they they know they through but in their desire NOT to be seen as angry they have become nice "loving" guys thus causing their own ineffectiveness. Yes anger should be righteous and always tempered with a merciful approach with grace. But holy righteous anger should NOT be quenched. These 4th group people too often in their zeal to seem unangry quench the fire to appease man BEFORE God! One does not need to be insulting true but these people want niceness to win over people who hate God and anyone who represents him. Your recent talk with a gay man whose pastor wrote all the right thing shows how much these sinners HATE and yes individually we can meet and MAYBE make some headway but with MILLIONS of Christians and HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of them it would take millions of years to have each Christian talk to each of them. Orthodox and Angry is good if you aren't insulting and you temper your approach with grace and be merciful in your approach. But the truth can NOT be watered down. The righteous holy fire can NOT be quenched. WI must speak the truth with BOLDNESS never allowing ourselves to compromise by trying to coddle them into the faith. Christianity is NOT for snowflakes!! You have to reach out true BUT they have to WANT to be reached!
