You're right....Voltaire looked forward to the day where the Bible would be nothing more than an antiquated memory showcased in some museum. After his death, his personal property was sold; a printing press was set up; and Bibles were printed. Quoting from Sherwood Wirt, "Joseph Stalin once asserted that there is no such thing as eternal truth. Now Stalin is an unhappy memory we would sooner forget, while the truth lives on. That's the way it is with God's Word; the anvil wears out the hammers."
