Unfortunately, it seems that Christian leaders and writers are so often out of touch with the way that "Christians on the street" see things. I mean, John Piper obviously is. But even the better ones like Michael Brown appear to be out of touch sometimes as well. I think the key here is not to put any kind of Christian "leader" on a pedestal, but to test everything he or she says (1 Thes. 5:21), and to have plenty of grains of salt available for use as necessary. :) LOL. It's also interesting to keep in mind that these Christian teachers are going to be judged more strictly than the rest of us (James 3:1).

The Guardian and the Washington Post have documented 20,000 Trump lies. Dr. Brown only lies to himself.

I find the case against Trump here exaggerated. For example, blaming the split between George and Kellyanne Conway on Trump is a bit of a stretch to say the least. I think all Trump has done is bring to the surface divisions and fault lines that already existed, so blaming him for that is wide of the mark. The divisions are now more obvious because he now offers an alternative option to the old Uni-Party. As for his personal behaviour, we all wish he would clean his act up, but given all the unfair abuse he has had to take over the last 4 years from the MSM and the political establishment, I think we should cut him some slack. Has it occurred to anyone that just maybe the Lord chose him precisely because of his combative nature and the fact that he won't just roll over like most wimpy Christians? It wouldn't be the first time the Lord has done this!
