Jim Carey is in no position to talk morality. HE gave venereal disease to his wife many times and she could not conceive !! She committed suicide with opioids prescribed for Jim!!

@DeanCooper, the word "ilk" is not a putdown or insult. It means type or class or category. In the context of the statement, it means those of a like mind as yours (referring to Jim Carrey).

Mr. Carrey showed his cards in his question: "Christian/morality" and "power". In reality he's showing his concern that the left's innate hunger for power is being challenged by the advances of the conservatives ...led by the business-like approach of President Trump. Yes, President Trump is "not your daddy's president". He's the man needed for this moment in time - a man who is familiar with hard negotiation with backbone. That combination is unheard of from the typical politician. Because of his direct involvement in the world's economy he's been able to maneuver unlike others. Answer this question - Would a Sen. McCain, a Gov. Romney or Sec. Clinton have been able to accomplish what Pres. Trump has accomplished? As far as judging his personal moral constitution, I'll leave that to the Father. As for me, I'll continue to pray that His hand will be on Pres. Trump for the sake of the nation. For we all desperately need His mercy. Webster's defines "ilk" as - kind, sort, nature, etc. I don't find that offensive, but do find it enlightening that someone would be. May Adonai bless you Dr. Brown for your heart and insight.

Purhaps you are missing the larger point. The question is centered on Christians supporting a candidate that is morally bankrupt and not qualified to be president. I'm 57 and have plenty of years behind me listening the "Christians" talking about the need for morality in office and supporting those who promote a high moral standing. Clearly, by his own testimony, the president has an extremely low moral standard. Yet the Christians voted for him....Inst that the larger point and problem?

"You and your ilk"? Why the put down? You're arguing that Christians are pushing for our moral values and then you turn around and slam your opponent, as if you aren't really very loving after all. Please do better than that Dr. Brown.
