I’m not complaining.

I’m not upset.

I’m not frustrated.

I simply want to share with you what life is like for us these days on YouTube, as well as invite you to join me there in the days ahead. As long as this platform is open to us, we will continue to utilize it to reach as many people as we can.

If you’ve been following us for the last year or two, you’ll know that some time ago, we had about 900 of our videos demonetized, out of the blue and without explanation. Shortly thereafter, many of them were remonetized, also without explanation. (For those unfamiliar with these terms, if a video is monetized, that means a short ad will run at the beginning of the video, and every time it is viewed, you receive a fraction of a penny in return. But if you have enough videos and they are viewed enough times, that can bring in useful income. For us, as non-profit, that money helps us pay some bills and produce more video content to share with all of you for free.)

In recent months, our situation with YouTube has been completely unpredictable, going back and forth without rhyme or reason. (We appreciate those who shared advice with us. To date, nothing has made a difference.)

Then, to our shock last month, our entire channel was demonetized (meaning, more than 1,600 videos were banned from receiving advertising income). And, you guessed it, we were still given no clarity as to what we had allegedly done wrong. Then, as we were getting legal counsel, without explanation (or communication), we noticed that our channel was remonetized. Wild!

But here’s where it gets really interesting.

This is a list of videos that were recently deemed either unsuitable for most advertisers or suitable for all advertisers  after manual review. You’ll be shaking your head just as we did as each email came in. (Again, I’m not complaining. I’m simply sharing this with you, our spiritual family, so you can pray with us for God’s will to be done in YouTube. He’s bigger than they are!)

Are you ready? Then check this out:

Did I tell you that you’d be shaking your head? What in the world is going on?

To be sure, we’re not surprised when our pro-life, anti-abortion videos are not approved for advertising, along with videos where we tackle LGBT activism. At least these videos have not been banned from their platform – yet.

But one day, YouTube will approve a pretty radical video after manual review and the next day, one of my generic Q&A shows is disapproved.

At this point, we’re not trying to figure it out. We’re just doing our best to get the message out the most loudly and clearly we can. And because so many non-believers frequent YouTube, along with believers from every background, we’ll keep reaching out as long as the door is open. We shall see what the future holds!

We have also started doing exclusive YouTube chats where my whole purpose in coming online is to interact directly with you, our YouTube audience, normally with extensive Q&A.

So, subscribe to our channel here to be notified the moment we go live or to find out when our latest video is posted. Encourage your friends to subscribe too!

And, if you have the time and the inclination, dive into the comments section after watching the video. There are a lot of confused people out there, and if you have the truth, you can help set them free.

So, the adventure continues. Be sure to join me in the days ahead. Forward, in Jesus’ name!
